Best Manifesting Inc offers a multi carrier and USPS MAC™ product Best Ship™.  We have released our newest version in conjunction with the January 22^nd 2012 USPS rate change.  Best Ship supports over 100 shipping services including all options available through UPS, Fed Ex, and DHL.  We offer several configurations of Best Ship depending on your business rules and can integrate with any data base, SQL table, or interface with a package machine or OCR equipment.  Whether your company is in order fulfillment, a mail house, or a retail store that offers shipping to your customers, we can definitely meet your needs. 

Best works with several clients processing Presort 1^st Class Parcels and Presort 1^st Class Flats.  The Best Ship system is a desktop product that can interface to any system that will provide the fastest processing in the industry.  The user friendly Zone Skip screen allows for USPS minimum requirements to be recognized and also provides an easily system for allowing your company to take additional presort discounts such as 3-digit and 5-digit sortation.    

For our clients in order fulfillment we offer several options.  A Best Ship client has the ability to create their own Rate Shop Profiles. With a simple User Interface you can select specific service classes that will be grouped for Rate Shopping. We have found that this UI Profile system is extremely efficient in filtering the data you want with a quickness that is hard to find in the industry. We also offer a Best Way Rate Shop option, which will determine the least expensive cost to ship your product based on your delivery objectives.   We offer a Discount Priority Mail option that will increase your ROI even greater.     

Best Ship offers a Postage Expense Report. The report details the difference in total charges for your shipments. Best Ship can compare any selected service against numerous other services. This report makes for a great guide for analyzing your postage expenses compared to delivery objectives for other carriers.

Best Manifesting Welcomes Feedback

Best Manifesting will always welcome feedback.  Many Best Ship enhancements have been made possible by customer requests and we thank you for that.  With Best Ship beginning its Version 8.01 certification in conjunction with the USPS 2012 rate increase, we value your input on the processes that your business rules require.  We have a track record of consistent growth and flexibility to benefit our current clients as well as gain new accounts.  We are currently supporting over 50 different USPS, FedEx, and UPS service types. USPS RATE CHANGE JANUARY 22, 2011

USPS BACKGROUND:

Prices for most Postal Service mailing services will change on January 22, 2012. Mailing services includes First-Class Mail, Standard Mail, Periodicals, Package Services and Extra Services. Prices for shipping services will also change on January 22. We will provide customers the new shipping services prices later this fall.

While actual percentage price increases for various products and services varies, the overall average price increase across all mailing services is capped by law at 2.1 percent, the rate of inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index.

FIRST-CLASS MAIL HIGHLIGHTS:

■ ■Letters (1 oz.) – 1-cent increase to 45 cents. This is the first increase in the price of a First-Class Mail stamp since May 2009.

■ ■Single-piece letters additional ounce rate – unchanged at 20 cents.

■ ■Postcards – 3-cent increase to 32 cents

■ ■Letters to Canada or Mexico (1 oz.) – 5-cent increase to 85 cents

■ ■Letters to other international destinations – 7-cent increase to $1.05

■ ■The second ounce will be free for First-Class Mail Presort pieces weighing between one and two ounces.

ADDITIONAL PRICE ADJUSTMENT HIGHLIGHTS:

■ ■The price increase for Standard Mail Letters is slightly below the overall average at less than 1.9 percent

■ ■A new 3-month pricing option will be available to rent PO Boxes for people on the move and others that need a PO Box for a shorter time period.

■ ■Delivery Confirmation will be free for several parcel products as the Postal Service continues to make tracking an integral component of parcels mailed at commercial rates.

Best Ship update with enhancements has been scheduled

We will be releasing a new update to our MAC™ certified and Multi Carrier software Best Ship™ 7.02 this week.  We will highlight new enhancements and be assisting client’s utilize our Discount Priority program and integration to UPS and Fed Ex. 

Our next scheduled update will be for Best Ship V. 8.01 and will occur in conjunction with the USPS Jan 2012 Rate Change

An outstanding resolution to a service request.

I wanted to share our most recent service related issue. As our current clients know, the Best Ship product does not have bugs. We treat every Version change with the highest priority and regression test even after the newest Version goes live. We act on our clients request in a timely manner and always prepare our clients for USPS rate changes with minimal impact from Best Manifesting. In most cases service calls are due to power outages or printer errors. We are glad to assist free of charge for data corruption and hardware related issues and we expect our clients to count on us to get their packages out of the door addressed and posted correctly with our MAC Certified software Best Ship in an efficient process.

This past week we had a service call from a client in New York that switched from Verizon DSL to FiOS. They immediately experienced the inability to transfer data via ftp. The Best Ship system sends tracking information to the USPS via ftp and we also utilize an inventory management’s ftp site to send order confirmation and tracking numbers. With the client having customer satisfaction in jeopardy they asked us to overcome this solution. With research and development from the Best Manifesting team we were able to overcome this issue. Within 24 hours our group had a seamless work around build into our Best Ship system. The client does not have any additional steps to take and now all data is transferring to ftp sites using the FiOS modem.
